Starting Fresh…
StartingFresh

Hi Everyone,

Firstly I would like to thank you all for all your lovely emails, your support was much appreciated at a time when life took hold of me for a while and shook me up. I’m back in Townsville and to be honest I’ve been feeling somewhat drained, so am giving myself some time out to ‘re-centre’.

Life certainly is unpredictable and changes can happen suddenly – a reason why we must never get complacent with our own self transformation. Even when life is working well for us we must always keep our ‘tools’ sharpened – the wind can change direction at any moment and we can easily get caught up in it. When we are tired or feeling a little weak, we will certainly get tested! A good example is when I was in Melbourne recently – some family members behaved in a way that I would not normally buy into (at least not these days). However, having just lost our mum, everyone was tired and emotions were running high. I ‘lost it’ a couple of times, instantly losing my bit of peace and calm that I’ve worked so hard to establish and maintain. As I began to doubt and criticise myself (second-guess everything I did) I realised disempowering, old patterns were resurfacing – not helpful for anyone and a harsh lesson to re-learn. However, I was determined to learn once and for all!

When we are serious about self transformation then no matter what, we must always allow ourselves time and space to practice self respect – remember the 1st rule of 1st Aid is to take care of our own wellbeing first. When we neglect our own self care (perhaps due to being out of our routine or comfort zone) we instantly go back into old ‘people pleasing’ behaviours – these addictions are hard to break and simply wait for a moment of weakness. Losing control over our own actions, our automatic and consequent RE-actions not only disempower ourselves but disempower everyone involved… So lets start fresh once again – with a clean slate. Lets start by forgiving ourselves and forgiving others, after all, we are all ‘L’ platers in the lessons of life!…

I look forward to continue our journey of self discovery and self empowerment over the next few months. Thank you for joining me once again and pat yourselves on the back for your persistence and resilience.

We will start fresh with our 1st Power on Monday 29th July and instead of fortnightly we will practice it for the entire month of August – I will check in weekly to see how everyone is going. As I have not yet written about these Powers, it will be a learning journey for all of us and I will be looking to each of you for your experiences as well :)… If there are any particular Powers you would like to work on (including ones already done) please let me know. I hope this will suit everyone and please don’t hesitate to contact me (as before) for any further clarification or guidance.

I look forward to ‘see you’ on Monday 29th July… In the meantime, here is a question to churn on…

Do I consistently apply my powers or do I become complacent (especially when life is going well for me)?… If I am serious about self transformation, why do I forget to apply my powers or believe it is ok to stop practicing?

Love as always Annemarie
