Power to be Generous – Part 3…
Hi Everyone,
Over half way into practicing Generosity, thanks for those who have already contributed – would love to hear more experiences from others this week, it’s a good time to contribute so I can collaborate your stories and share with everyone next week (don’t worry no names or details are shared, simply condensed versions :)…
Paying extra attention to practicing self respect as a means to remain generous over the past week – to myself and others – I managed to turn negative back into positive. Allowing myself to recognise and learn lessons, identify disempowering thoughts without punishing myself, while continually shedding old stuff (an ongoing process), helps maintain the flow of Generosity – within and around me. Focusing on mistakes is a wasteful habit, seeing them as learning experiences instead helps us to move on. As we are all Actors on this world stage, we must allow ourselves many ‘takes’ in life – how else do we learn and grow?… And learn and grow some more?… Experimenting and exploring in life is called having ‘an experience’ and is half the fun. Wisdom is living experientially and by example, no use borrowing experiences from others. We can only truly teach others through ‘doing’ – experience teaches us how to walk the talk. When we experiment and explore there are no mistakes, only learning – take 1… take 2… take 3… Being kind (generous) to myself when I mess up, allows me freedom to try again – otherwise I may become to afraid to try again.
– Question: Am I generous with how many ‘takes’ in life I give myself? Or do I give up and stop trying?… What about others, how generous am I in allowing others to learn and grow?
Tip: If you fall down 7 times, get up 8 times. To succeed in any area of life allow yourself to have many tries – do as many ‘takes’ as you need to and simply keep going – learn and keep moving on! The more I allow myself to ‘have a go’, the more Generous I will become – not only with my love but with my support and encouragement for others to have a go too.
Have a wonderful week everyone and may you all be extra generous with yourselves and with others.
Love, Annemarie x
