Power of Self Confidence…
CanBeDone

Hi everyone,

How are you all going with the new year so far, as 2014’s momentum is picking up? Are you still pausing, breathing and appreciating life, or are you finding yourself already being pulled along by life’s fast undercurrent? Are you trusting your own resolve, or are you having trouble carrying things through due to lacking self confidence?… In this image-driven, fast-talking, constantly-needing-to-proof-yourself world – it’s not an easy task to stay committed to a goal that others may not perceive worthy, nor is it an easy task to stay constantly confident. If we continually try to fit-in to an ever-changing image of what society deems ‘perfect’ and ‘acceptable’, it’s like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Our self confidence will be up one day and down the next, given any number of situations (if we allow it to be so).

With my body still being a bit low, I’ve been experiencing a bit of low confidence. Added to this, it’s never easy to come into a new town and start making connections (cold-calling is not one of my strengths and something I’m working on to out-source one day). And even though I know I AM a Soul, simply playing my role – and others are no more or less – the habit of forgetting that life is a play is deeply ingrained, so I definitely had to laugh when I drew our next Power….

Our 28th Power – Power of Self Confidence…

Self Confidence is often seen as arrogance,
but this couldn’t be further from the truth.
A state that’s often misinterpreted –
like the actions of a self-assured youth.
So let us remember it’s true meaning,
of trusting and believing in our own power.
The certitude in applying our capabilities,
as we stand firm and tall like a high-reaching tower.
So let us not judge what may appear to be arrogant,
as much courage is very often needed.
To continue on regardless of other’s opinions,
to succeed rather than being defeated.

** The Power of Self Confidence is the ability to trust and believe in our own inner strengths. It’s the internal state of being certain of my own abilities that regardless of the opinions of others, I continue to move forward. Even at times when I may entertain self doubt, I let Courage guide me through.

** I am the Tower… I reach for the sky, even when others believe it’s not possible. I stretch and I keep stretching so tall, that others are inspired to have a go. I believe in myself and my abilities and am happy to share what I know.

** Supporting Virtues: Courage, Believing, Detachment, Magical, Consistency, Discipline

Questions to churn:
1. Do I let others dictate the level of my confidence at any given time?
2. Why might I let the opinions of others defeat me?
3. What can I do to remain stable and self confident?

Tips:
– Pay attention to your inner language. Can or Can’t plays a big part in self confidence.

– Don’t waste time seeking approval from others – dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t – as long as you’re not hurting others, do as you want.

– Remember to use ‘Traffic Control’ – stop each hour for just 60 seconds – this helps with attention on language and thoughts and clears the way for magical opportunities.

Needless to say, I got on the phone and began making calls to organise self empowerment programs…… So far – picked up 2 very interested leads 🙂

What will you do for yourself this week that will boost your confidence?

Create a WonderFull week, lots of Love Annemarie
