Hi everyone,
How are you all going with this wonderful Power?… As Easter arrives and Cyclone Ita departs, I sit and wonder about life – it’s wonder, it’s joys, it’s miracles as well as it’s fury!
Cyclone Ita was a Category 1 when it came through Townsville – approximately 3hrs earlier than shown on the B.O.M. Cyclone Tracker – catching many unaware. In the caravan park where we are staying – many smaller trees were uprooted, several caravans damaged, with some awnings and annexes completely destroyed. But all in all, we faired much better than Cooktown or Solomon Islands – so we are very fortunate.
A rather interesting time as many use their Power of Resilience without even realizing it – this is known as being ‘unconsciously competent’ – where you’ve practiced ‘a drill’ many times that you can do it automatically. Those who have been through cyclones before, clearly show a different kind of strength – a quiet acceptance or resilience – to those who are visitors or new to the region. You can learn a lot by observing the locals. As an Observer I am currently noticing a mix between The Power of Resilience and the ‘unpower’ of attachment. The Resilient ones quietly clean up and move on. Those struggling to let go appear to be looking for someone to blame and are subtly prolonging their own anguish.
Questions to churn on:
Am I prepared mentally for natural disaster?
– How do I cope after such an upheaval?
– Do I get on with it or do I look for someone to blame?
Lesson: Silence overcomes panic, allowing you to breathe, to think clearly and to do what you need to do!
Never be complacent with any of your Powers – you never know when you will be needing them. Don’t just read these emails then pack them away, regularly pick a random power and just play with it to see how it works. It’s of no use if we just put them away and only unpack them when we need them – at the time of need, we won’t have time to read instructions. At that time, we simply have to do what we know (unconsciously competent)
Lots of love Annemarie
