Hi everyone,
Our next Power is another Power that when practiced, you can’t help but see amazing results in your life and relationships.
Quality of life depends on quality of thought – no matter how much money or how many friends I have – if I carry a negative attitude towards life I will create negative thoughts from which I will create disempowering actions. When I disempower myself I most probably disempower others. Life can be light, easy-going and fun or it can be heavy, depressing and even destructive – we are the creators of our life, so we better choose wisely. Vibration is very subtle and often overlooked – a huge problem in the areas of self awareness and self responsibility. Negative vibration causes stagnation, confusion and prevents change whereas positive vibration creates upliftment and possibilities. When I do not pay attention to my thoughts, my actions will be reactive and uncontrolled as I will have no power over my behavior, impacting those around me in a negative way… On the other hand, if I do pay attention to what I am thinking – enabling me to turn negative into positive – I am standing in my power. When I stand firmly in this Power, the negativity of others will have no home with me – remaining unaffected, I can then use positivity towards a faster resolution 🙂
Our 18th Power is the 16th Jewel – Power of Positive Thought – page 127….
‘I am what I think I am,
therefore what I believe is true.
The Power to create positive thought,
must surely then give me a clue…
A glimpse of my life that will come to pass,
if I don’t change my thoughts to first class’
** The Power of Positive Thought is the ability to create positive thoughts and base my actions on them no matter what, even if I don’t feel like it. It means to understand the difference between positive and negative – uplifting and weighing down – then consciously choosing thoughts, words and actions that will benefit myself and others. It means to plant only the seeds that I wish to grow!
** I am the seed… I am the essence – the blueprint of my whole life unfolding. I have the power and ability to grow succulent, delicious, abundant fruit – but only when I nourish, nurture, pay attention, tend to and care for my inner garden.
** Supporting Virtues: Enthusiasm, Realistic, Surrender, Easy-going, Accommodating, Determination
Tips:
1. Pay attention to your attitude – how you ‘see’ the world is how your world will be.
2. Being positive is not the same as being optimistic.
3. Thought is energy and given enough energy, must manifest in a practical form.
Questions to churn:
1. How do I awaken in the morning – do I smile or do I grimace?
2. What does my mind focus on – enjoying life or worrying about life?
3. How do I view the world – do see ‘the glass’ as half empty or half full?
Let me use this time to explain the difference between Optimism and Positive Thinking… Optimism is focusing on ‘everything working out’ without necessarily working towards a positive outcome or even being prepared should it not work out. Positive Thinking is awareness of reality – that problems can occur no matter how much preparation – it embraces possibilities while looking for solutions and letting go of the outcome.
Positive Thinking is a skill – it’s a power that needs cultivating – to recognise where I am limiting my thinking and therefore limiting my life. Positive Thinking simply means thinking about what ‘I can do…’ as opposed to what ‘I can’t do…’ – changing ‘hard’ into ‘easy’ and ‘impossible’ to ‘possible.
In a world where positivity is disintegrating at a rapid rate – imagine the light you can shine by simply paying attention to your own thinking.
Remember to keep things light and easy, lots of love Annemarie xx

I used to believe that the power of positive thinking was to always see the light and good side of things, people or events, but often found that I coped terribly when things did not go positively. So now that some people around me are acting in ways that I find completely irrational, I’m trying to see with more ‘realistic’ eyes and not gloss over the truth. Remaining positive though is rather tricky….
Hello Tracey,
Thanks again, your contribution is always valued and appreciated. Yes, the Power of Positive Thought is often misinterpreted as optimism, a reason why we don’t cope when things don’t go well. Positive Thinking doesn’t mean that ‘there’s only good’ but to live and love in the reality of knowing there is ‘good and bad’ – that I do not allow myself to be trapped / affected by the negativity of situations or the negative behavior (or even vibration) of others. Remember… Positive is a natural trait of the Soul, it’s who I am – negative is not a natural trait of the soul, but what I’ve become – very normal these days (but never natural)…
I love knowing that I am inherently positive, it gives me hope and inspires me to keep going 🙂
Lots of love Annemarie
An aim for the week: Find beauty and joy in the simple tasks of the day. Transform mundane jobs into moments of silent listening and meditation. Feel the warmth of the water as you wash-up…smell the air as you hang the washing…vacuum up any negative thoughts and transform them into powerfully clean positive affirmations. Be a domestic goddess…Be who you are…
Hello Sweet Soul,
So wonderful to see you putting ‘weekly aims’ into place – it’s so important for constant cultivation of our inner power. To see the beauty in all things – great or mundane – is equally important, this is truly understanding the Power of Positive Thought. To know that even ‘mundane’ tasks have it’s value in upliftment, helps in bringing about self transformation… Keep up the amazing self empowerment work 🙂
Love Annemarie
