Hi everyone,

For anyone just joining our blog – welcome! Just to briefly fill you in. The Powers Study Group is a Free program that anyone is welcome to join – all you need is a copy of Will to Wonder (which you can buy from most larger bookstores or order from this site) and access to a computer.

At the start of the program, I wrote each of the 21 Jewels (from Will to Wonder) on a piece of paper and placed them in a bowl. Every second Monday, I draw a Jewel and that’s the Power we practice for the fortnight. We are just now finishing our 8th Power – Power of Faith – and will start with our 9th Power this coming Monday. ps it’s never too late to join us – remember, it’s FREE and is wonderfully inclusive :)…

Here is what’s happened this week –

Wow, thank you so much for sharing your many thoughts regarding the Power of Faith – I’ve had some wonderful emails sharing all your unique yet similar experiences. Your honesty is amazing and continues to inspire me – I feel so very fortunate that you entrust me with your stories – to share and to benefit each other.

Among other things, I’ve come to realise that Faith is a great way to nurture myself. When I hold the hand of faith, courage always cooperates and help always arrives – often subtle and often from people or places that may pleasantly surprise you! As fear steps aside to let determination through, my mind frees up from worry and stress, allowing me to tend to my own needs. The ability to care for myself is not just about caring for my physical needs, but to nourish my Mind and to nurture my Soul. Therefore, tending to my own inner garden is a gift not only to myself but to all those around me. It’s a practice we as individuals will all benefit from because this is feeding a happy attitude.

Keeping Faith also protects me from swinging between perfectionism and idealism. Faith helps me let go of wanting perfection – even though there’s nothing wrong with perfection or high ideals – except when it stops me from stepping up and taking my rightful place. Understanding that there is absolute perfection in imperfection anyway and accepting that it’s all relative – yin and yang of life – allows me to act accordingly. Elevated ideals are wonderful – it all starts with a dream, it’s what possibilities are made of – provided I get creative with them and put them into action. You see I’ve experienced this swinging throughout most of my life – blocking myself many times from stepping up – making life unnecessarily confusing and complicated. It is Faith that allows me to keep things simple and simply follow through.

Perfectionists tend to dwell on ‘it’s never good enough.’ It’s not the right time; the right day; right week; right season; right color; right light; right … They also focus on what should, could and must be fixed before it is ok – which it never is! Idealists on the other hand, tend to dream about what can be fixed and what can be possible – which is wonderful! But these dreams are often so lofty that the yard stick is rarely reached and again I render myself unable to change. If I allow perfectionism to rule my ideals, I end up with unwanted results – I sabotage myself to the point where I can doing nothing at all – dreams remain dreams. However, when I allow myself to use my Power of Faith, I can transform the fear of ‘being perfect’ enabling me to truly realise my ideals. This doesn’t mean I follow others blindly, but simply knowing and trusting deep in my core that everything will be ok.

FAITH = IMAGINATION and BELIEVING combined with ACTION…. It was only after BELIEVING and APPLYING that I saw positive results in my life – which over time STRENGTHENED my FAITH – again and again and again……. By the way, the ancient meaning of religion (or Dharma) simply means ‘way of life’. If Faith is my ‘religion’ or ‘way of life’ I will constantly experience happiness because I trust – I don’t question or resist it, instead I will just do it 🙂

Here’s what others shared 🙂

– Faith is awesome – a great power and strength to have!!!
– Several Souls have only recently re-discovered it – giving them strength day by day.
– At busy times when difficulty in coping (especially this time of year) – some starting new jobs, some moving homes, school holidays, Christmas – it’s their faith that keeps them powering on 🙂 –
– At times of wanting to give up or quit – again it’s Faith that helps them – through prayer, meditation, silent reflection, contemplation…..
– Clarity often comes after a period of ‘checking self‘ without looking back.
– Life much sweeter, simpler, uncluttered and harmonious… YESSSSS!! 🙂
– Ability to demonstrate an attitude of gratitude
– Many trust their intuition completely – (through lots of life experience, no doubt) – Others still working it out, but recognize that waiting (silence) can help figure it out.
– Understanding of consequences by not waiting – reacting – and appropriate lessons
– Trust underpins and upholds intuition – or evidence of fear
– Faith helps bring peace
– Faith helped through tough family situations
– Helps with confidence and self-worth
– Faith is a definite strength – the core of bodily function – especially at stressful times – sitting quietly and trusting that it is the right thing to just be the self, honest and true 🙂
– When overwhelmed, faith reminds them that they CAN…
– A never give-up attitude
– Consciousness and awareness – a system within that works.
– With aims, having faith that their journey will evolve to take them there.

For those of you who celebrate Christmas – may yours be happy, merry and safe 🙂
For those who don’t – may your days be happy, merry and safe 🙂
As mentioned last week, I will continue to draw a Power this Monday the 24th December (my 53rd birthday :))) – just keep things flowing. After all, this is one time of year we can all use extra power.

Much love Annemarie xx
