Hi everyone, how are you all going with the Power of Enthusiasm?…
You know, time = change… and resistance = suffering. Whether we like it or not change is, happening, it will continue to happen and it’s moving at a fast speed – resistance is the fastest way to get ‘bowled over’. The Power of Enthusiasm lets me accept life without conforming – we deny our power when we refuse to step up, for fear of being different – enthusiasm gives me courage to stand when most choose to sit.
The Power of Enthusiasm helps me to flow with change and is a wonderful power to have, when faced with any challenge. When this power is strong within me, no matter what is happening I can remain happy-hearted and balanced. I’m not talking about jumping around in temporary excitement, because when the excitement wears off (and it always does) I can become vulnerable to manic behavior… No, enthusiasm keeps you light and unaffected, this lightens up an atmosphere that may be dense and heavy going – you will benefit yourself and your environment in a very subtle but positive way.
Genuine enthusiasm uplifts in such a powerful way because it sustains itself by focusing on powerful opportunities and positive outcome, no matter how bleak the situation may appear. Genuine enthusiasm is like a fragrance – it rubs off on others. To love with a pure heart keeps enthusiasm strong, it enables me to keep going no matter what 🙂
Question to churn on today: What does enthusiasm feel like?…
– For me, it feels like… Everything is easy, no difficulty or complications, just easy. It feels light – I have a bounce in my step and my body feels light as feathers. I can’t help but smile, even though I may not know what’s around the corner, simply smiling because all in life is good 🙂
Here’s a great exercise to remain enthusiastic. On the spur of any moment STOP… BREATHE… then quickly note 5 things you’re grateful for on that day. Don’t labour on it, just note whichever 5 come to mind first. Do that several times a week
Here are 5 things I’m grateful for today…
Walked 4.5ks without rest
Half a huge watermelon given to me by a lovely lady – Yum!
Playing on the swings at the waterfront 🙂
Sharing stories with my children 🙂
Reliable car
What 5 things are you grateful for today?… Ready? Go!…
Much Love Annemarie 🙂
