Hi everyone,
PowerBelieve

Oh how I love how our Powers come together and co-operate, I’m thinking, as I draw our next Virtue to practice… After learning about and applying our last Power don’t just put it aside now and forget about it, make it part of your tool-belt of life. The idea of this group is to encourage and support each other to create and maintain a set of life skills, as a means to take back the reins of our own life and to keep strengthening our individual Powers. Our specialities (when applied) certainly enhance our skills, so the timing couldn’t be better to be strengthening our next Power.

As we are packing up and getting ready to get back on the road again – leaving Townsville once again – this Power is perfectly appropriate :)…

I’d like to start with a quote by Mark Twain…
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do, so throw off the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails…  Explore, Dream, Discover”

Our 24th Power – Power to Believe…

When I choose to believe in misery,
then misery is all I receive…
But when I choose to believe in magic,
then misery must take leave!
When I believe that anything is possible,
I let go of the old and I change my ‘view’.
Life opens up in extraordinary ways,
as I learn to pay attention to all of life’s clues!
I’m not talking about mere optimism,
or ignorantly looking the other way.
But just being open to possibilities –
allowing me freedom to live, love and play!

** The Power to Believe is the ability to see possibilities for happiness and showing the courage to take those opportunities. Choosing to see, create and share the ‘magic’ of life – allows me to remain loving yet independent in my thoughts and actions.

** I am the Young Explorer… I Believe in magic because I am filled with self love, allowing my innocent wonder to flow into the world and gently touch others. I may not always get what I want in life, but I know that I ALWAYS receive what I need, because I Believe that I have a right in the world!

** Supporting Virtues: Presence, Flexibility, Contentment, Accepting, Positive, Open-Minded

Questions to churn:
1. What do I believe about myself? Is it empowering or disempowering?
2. What do I mainly attract – happiness or sorrow?
3. What do I believe about the rest of the world?

Tips:
– To check what you are believing, pay close attention to what you are attracting (a good way to check to see if I do as I say).

– A belief is something that I see as truth. If I believe I’m worthy, I will attract others who will respect me – if I believe I’m not, then I won’t!… So whether it’s actual truth or perceived truth is irrelevant – if I -believe it to be so, so it will be!

– Believe you CAN and you CAN!… Believe you CAN’T and you CAN’T!…

Happy studying everyone – remember to always keep your eyes, heart and mind open to life’s wonder and beauty. You’d be amazed how much we regularly miss out on – always ‘too busy’ or have ‘more important things’ to do – as we miss life and living in it, altogether. Don’t be another statistic, step out of your comfort zone (the limitations of the boundaries you’ve placed on your own mind) and BELIEVE in yourself, BELIEVE in love and BELIEVE in magic in life!

Much Love Annemarie
