Power to Judge…
PowerJudge

Hi everyone,

It’s been a busy week giving talks and organising workshops etc, so I appreciate the opportunity to practice our next power. Some may find this one a little challenging, but allow yourself some time for reflection because this one is an amazing Jewel. It’s one of our 8 Master Powers and well worth your time to strengthen. Truly understanding this power will help create many shifts in your life as you take responsibility for your own thoughts, words and actions – it’s magically liberating – not something you would consider when you hear the word judgement. However, it’s a wonderful opportunity to dig a little deeper (with absolute gentleness and love) to recognise some of those hidden, outdated and limiting beliefs I may be carrying around, ones that if allowed, will subtly continue to sabotage all my hard work if I do not consciously transform them…

Our 13th Power is the 5th Jewel – Power to Judge – page 45….

‘Keep the Power of good Judgement near,
it helps to weigh up with a mind that is clear.
An ability to choose while my thoughts I steer…
to enjoy a life that is free of fear.’

** The Power to Judge is the ability to make clear, rational decisions and choices. I judge the accuracy of my own thoughts, words and actions – not those of others. I weigh up what others say with what they do – before accepting, but without judging.

** I am the scales… I stay in balance by measuring my ‘walk’ with my ‘talk’ – accurately.

** Supporting Virtues: Discernment, Balance, Self Respect, Detachment, Tactful, Silence

Tips:
1. Judging the accuracy of your own attitude in contrast to judging the life of others is known as being economical – it saves you much time and energy.
2. Using ‘traffic control’ of the mind regularly throughout your day, is a good opportunity to check your thoughts before they become your actions.
3. Using the ‘scales’ of your mind keeps you balanced – enabling you to weigh up the cost and the benefit of any thoughts before putting them into action.

Questions to churn:
1. Do I sit in judgement of others due to my own fears and projections?
2. Do I choose rationally or do I become emotional and irrational?
3. Do I give myself permission to use my ‘scales’ or do I simply react?

Judging others always comes from a place of fear. The Power Judge is to judge the accuracy of my own thoughts, words and actions – so I can be powerful and empower others. It’s one of those powers that if kept ‘sharpened’ and at the ready in my tool-belt of life, my world instantly becomes lighter. It may sound like a rather serious power, yet when applied you will notice many shifts as you begin to ease up on yourself and others. Strengthening our ability to be clear in our choices and decisions, enables us to uplift the world rather than to weigh it down. When we learn to use this power accurately many areas open up – creativity, simplicity, enthusiasm. To Judge accurately is an Art – it makes learning fun and prevents me from having to labour through life – life has to be lived, I can do it hard or I can do it easy…. I chose the latter, what do you choose?

Happy practicing everyone, look forward to hearing your stories – Lots of love Annemarie xx
