Hi everyone, as we near the end of our 4th Power – Enthusiasm – I can’t help but wonder, what would I do without this knowledge – without my power? I think I would be completely lost – a frightened, non-trusting little girl in a big wide world. Thank God I have my powers 🙂

I’ve had a few interesting ‘tests’ this week – the upside is that I don’t fall down nearly as far as I did once upon a time and I bounce back much faster (thanks to cultivating my inner powers – Enthusiasm certainly helped this week 🙂  When you step up to the plate you will certainly get tested, to make sure you’re up for the task and not just bluffing 🙂

I’m running a free 4 week Choose to be Calm workshop for a group of women – they are all lovely and in need – however, I realised that my time was not valued. Among other things, I got a call on my way to one of the sessions to say the evening was cancelled and to come next week instead – no warning, no big deal (for them). Programs take time to organise and I offer my time and petrol etc for free. After thinking it through,  I won’t be continuing with this group – they may not value what I’m offering, but I certainly do… I understood the lesson of letting go, so in the end it was my gain and their loss.  No doubt they would make more effort had they paid for the course. When they understand the meaning of value, of effort, of commitment and respect, I’m happy to run another program for them :)…

Question:
When others don’t value what you offer what do you do? Do you quit and lose enthusiasm,  do you martyr yourself and continue on or do you simply keep going?…

** I learned about not taking it personal, because I know they enjoyed the program and gained benefit. I learned about letting go of expectations, about resilience to keep going towards my own destination (regardless of the obstacles) and about remaining enthusiastic for those who do value what I’m willing to share 🙂

Quote – “Enthusiasm is the mother of effort and without it, nothing great was ever achieved” Ralph Waldo Emerson
