Power of Experience – Part 2…
We created wonderful experiences as we camped in the Nullabor Plains on our way back from W.A.
Hi EveryOne,
How are you all going with this wonderful Power?… Are you creating many happy experiences or are you allowing life to dictate what happens to you?… It helps to pay attention to how we awaken in the morning. If you wake feeling happy, you will SEE a good day ahead and you will create happy experiences to match that feeling. If you wake experiencing dread, you will SEE alarming things and your day will match that view. Remember, YOU are the Creator of your Life – ‘what you see is what you get’ – so it pays to make your vision powerful – particularly before going to sleep at night 🙂
Experience begins in the mind, it starts with a thought. When I put this thought into action (be it positive or negative) my experiences in life will reflect what I have already created in my mind – it will confirm what I’m believing on a deeper level. Stopping and paying attention is therefore essential to create only positive experiences. If I don’t recognize my own inner workings, it will prove easy to point the finger of blame away from me (it’s not my fault, it’s theirs). This type of self deception results in sabotage, which can and often does create a gap between what we want to do and what we are able to do! We want to control the world when all we can really do is control our own life – our own experiences – NOT those of others. Letting go of control is not always easy yet incredibly liberating and uplifting for everyone concerned, and experience becomes a way of life.
Therefore before going to bed, make a conscious effort to ‘check’ your day (review it). Remaining objective, simply and briefly go through your day and check your attitude (your approach to life). Anything you did in a positive manner, put in your ‘bank’ of positivity and make a mental note to create more of it. Anything you did in a negative or wasteful manner, put it in your account of waste and imagine how you can do it better (or how you wish to experience it next time). Resist any temptation to beat yourself up – recognition is something to be celebrated because that’s when we have the courage and power to change something that no longer serves us – while creating better experiences in our life. So pat yourself on the back, wipe the slate clean and imagine a wonderful happy day tomorrow, then go to sleep peacefully. If we don’t do this regularly, we wake experiencing dread as we unconsciously continue the cycle of violence.
The Power of Experience gives us the ability to learn from experience, allowing us to be the Creator of our stories. It means to grow wiser along our path of self discovery as we learn from our mistakes and from being actively involved – as opposed to sitting on the side-line of life while judging others. No, BE the Master of your Mind, the Ruler of your Experiences! Be Creative and Create love and beauty and watch how your experiences of life change! Enjoy waking to a new day – a new canvas for you to Create your ‘Master-Peace’ – your experiences, your stories – without adversely affecting others.
I’m interested to know and share how you applied this Power and what lessons you learnt – remember no lesson is wasted, it’s only our view of it – change the view and all lessons become precious 🙂 … I look forward to receiving your contributions.
Questions to churn on:
– Do I let go of everything before I go to bed, awakening fresh and enthusiastic about a new day?
– Do I understand and accept that I create my own stories and experiences?
– Do I blame others for negative experiences and how often do I check my own intentions (my own attitude)?
Lesson:
The only mistake we make in life is to not use our courage to have a go! Every lesson in life is an experience, that’s how wisdom is gained, it’s not gained through being book-smart, it’s gained through keeping a sense of humour while actually living it 🙂
Happy Living EveryOne, Lots of love Annemarie
