Hi everyone,
Intention

Almost half way through the year and I hope you are all finding yourself in a place where you hoped to be (or close to it). If not, lets enter the month of June with a fresh outlook – another opportunity – which I trust our next Power will help you with. If you are where you planned to be – then let me congratulate you and offer you our next Power as a way to stay on track šŸ™‚

Each time I draw another Power for us to practice it finishes any doubts or insecurities I may have been entertaining, as I contemplate the perfection of learning from our mistakes. Iā€™ve also come to realise just how many chances we each get in life to improve and empower ourselves – the possibilities are simply endless… Isnā€™t it time then that we allow ourselves continual permission to keep on ā€˜having a goā€™ at life? Isnā€™t it time then to focus our attention on the wonder that each of us is able to create with the right intention?

Our 32nd Power – Power of Intention…

When itā€™s a challenge to pay attention,
itā€™s a good time to get clear with our own intention!
Whatā€™s our purpose in life – our goal, our plan, our aim?…
Lets make it firm – no need to point the finger of blame.
Let us create contentment to allow us to disarm,
any emotional armor that blocks our lifeā€™s charm.
When we surrender any negative or limiting trait,
we demonstrate love while wiping out hate!

** The Power of Intention is the ability to create positive and powerful outcomes. Itā€™s the starting point of any dream – the creative power – that fulfills all our needs.

** I am the Architect… I create wonder on my life journey with the Power of my Intention. Spirituality (giving meaning to life) is my foundation because I understand that intention is not about what I want (desires) but rather about who I AM (Soul)!… I live to love, to create and to give.

** Supporting Virtues: Courage, Creative, Positive, Attentive, Caring, Compassion, Giving

So what are your intentions in any given day?… If my intention is to hate, to destroy or to take – my life and the lives of those around me will be filled with misery, pain and heartache. Because of not getting what we want (desires) we become angry and unconsciously feed this intention – becoming all those negative and hateful things.

If I focus my intention on who I am (a spiritual being of love) rather than on what I want or what others have or do, my intention will show love, creativity and benevolence – and my needs will automatically be met. My life and the lives of those around me will be filled with contentment and therefore need nothing more. I will not need to look outside of myself to fill myself up with whatever others are willing or able to give me (in a narcissistic world it will almost definitely have strings attached). Living from our Spiritual Virtues (our inner strengths and power) gives us purpose and our intention – our meaning for life – will reflect that. Ancient Sages of India tell us that our destiny is shaped by our deepest intentions and desires. The Upanishads states ā€œYou are what your deepest desire is. As your desire is, so is your intention. As your intention is, so is your will. As your will is, so is your deed. As your deed is, so is your destiny.ā€

Questions to churn:
1. What are my intentions when giving to or helping others? Do I seek some kind of validation (a return)?
2. Do my intentions come from a place of contentment or from a place of desire?
3. Are my intentions to empower others or to make them dependent on me?

Tips:
1. Intention gives hope, it gives us an aim to work towards and impels us forward in life.
2. Mistakes are often made with our intention because we focus on the wrong things… We focus on things we want rather than focus on who we are! When we focus on who we are, our intention towards others and towards life will automatically be filled with love.
3. Intention is more powerful when it comes from a place of contentment, rather than if it comes from a sense of neediness or lacking.

Intention gives our thoughts and our words meaning! However, just like action has to follow thought if it is to be powerful, so too intention must be followed by action. Intention gives power to what I want to do and given enough energy, you can watch it unfold as the Universe conspires to match it… Our Power of Intention works extremely well with our Power to Decide and Discern – I alone can decide whether my intentions (and therefore my actions) will be positive and life-giving or negative and life-taking. And no matter what others say, I need to be discerning to detect whether their intentions towards me are good or not. Intention is about meaning, so what we mean is what we get!

Have a wonderful week everyone, Love Annemarie
