Weighing up the quality of my thoughts is an excellent way to empower myself – putting this exercise into practice consistently is a powerful method to remaining flexible in my approach to life. The more I check and change myself the easier I can flow with rather than struggle against the ever changing rivers of life. It’s an old paradox – the more disciplined I am with my own attitude, the more freedom I experience – regardless of what is going on around me, I will remain uninfluenced and so will remain happy and unaffected.

So check before putting any thought into action – will they cost me or will they benefit me? If they are heavy and burdensome, there will be a price to pay and I have a choice and the Power to change them. If my thoughts are light and uplifting and they will benefit me and others, then I have the enthusiasm to put them into action.
