Power of Knowledge – Part 2…

Hi EveryOne,

How is this wonderful power serving you? Are you recognising or identifying areas where you are not applying what you know? What are you personally changing in your life to stop this from continuing, or is it easier to just give lip service? In this age of information overload, it’s important to understand and accept that words are cheap and a waste of precious energy for all concerned. It’s incredibly self empowering to acknowledge when we haven’t been actively applying what we know (or think we know) because it’s certainly easier to live in denial or ignorance 🙂 You know, we all like to think we ‘know’ but do we really? Projection is a slippery area where the finger of blame is quickly pointed elsewhere, keeping us clueless as to our own demise. Meanwhile we think we know and convince ourselves that we understand, yet have not been putting what we speak of into practice ourselves – wondering why nothing has changed in our life.

I still catch myself aware of what I ‘should’ be putting into practice but often get side tracked or distracted to actually apply it – though I’ve learnt to not beat myself  for that in itself is a waste of time. I simply ‘check’ myself, ‘change’ myself and just keep moving forward. Especially at this particular time, this power is a wonderful reminder for me. With the launch of my new book just around the corner, this wonderful power has been very handy. Needing to organise events, while sorting, creating, learning and updating many others things such as my website, blog and ‘landing page’, it’s easy to be distracted and forget my spiritual practice to continually apply what I am learning – about myself and about the world. For me, my spiritual practice is my life purpose and MUST always be number ONE or else everything else in life becomes difficult. And as technology is not one of my strengths and I find it to be a huge challenge, I need to remain vigilant in using my various inner powers. So ‘traffic control’ and ‘checking and changing’ myself have been two major tools I’ve been employing in order to apply this power, while calling on other powers to help. Powers like Tolerance, Patience, Packing Up, Positivity, Discernment and Decisiveness have definitely been helpful 🙂

My body has also gone through several flares in the last couple of weeks, so stopping, breathing and ‘Withdrawing’ has been necessary, so not to get anxious and overwhelmed each time I feel I’m falling further behind.  Acceptance of what I can and can’t do, and what I can and can’t change is essential. You know, the more knowledge we imbibe in our life, the less we stress the small stuff and the wealthier we become. If we don’t imbibe individual powers and jewels of knowledge but just continue to talk about them, then no matter how materially wealthy we are, we remain poor. ‘Begging’ in life is not preferable for me so I simply keep going – one spiritual baby step at a time 🙂

Questions to churn on:

Do I allow myself to regularly explore new and creative ways to try and understand what I am continually learning?

Do I allow myself to be open to continual learning, or do I limit myself by thinking ‘I already know that’?…

– How do I know when I’m assimilating new information accurately in my life? What’s the evidence?…

Lesson:

Life is about continual education. As a natural therapist, in order to get insurance cover and to qualify and remain a member of any association, I must show proof of continual education. Life is our educational arena – the proof is in our own progress (not for anyone else to judge but for our own proof of happiness).

I love receiving all your contributions and reading your individual stories – thank you for trusting me with this process.

Much love, Annemarie
