Hi everyone,
WorldOnHands

Welcome to summer and to our next Power – another Power that I simply love (when applied). It has helped me out of many potentially destructive / sabotaging situations over the years – even if at the time I didn’t realise it was a ‘power’ or strength. Like any subject taught at school though, for some this power will come quite naturally, but for others, you will need to work rather diligently to master it. However, it’s definitely worth the effort as this is one of those powers that helps you get on track and stay on track.

Our 38th Power – Power to be Practical…

When I allow emotions to rule my day,
I become too serious and forget how to play.
Life gets complicated and heavy, real fast
hard to stay true because happiness wont last.
But when I am practical, I can remain calm –
the world is my oyster and sits in my palm.
‘Practice makes perfect’ – experience is real,
it’s not something that I can borrow or steal….
Life is a series of practical applications –
so don’t build your life on theoretical foundations.

** The Power to be Practical is the ability to remain beyond irrational emotion! Continually putting what I learn into a practical form prevents emotions from getting out of control, giving strength and ability to respond powerfully to any situation.

** I am the Practitioner… I consistently practice what I ‘preach’… In fact, by remaining practical, I have no desire to preach but instead I become an example through actively demonstrating through my powerful actions – allowing others to learn and do the same.

** Supporting Virtues: Detached, Discernment, Tolerance, Cooperation, Encouraging, Patience, Supportive

In life there is no theory, it’s all about practical exams – if I only understand ‘life’ in a philosophical way, chances are I will get inundated by emotional rubbish – mine and that of others – I will get hurt and won’t know how to change anything.

Tips:
1. Remaining practical – especially in emotional situations – guarantees cooperation and success.
2. Remaining practical allows you to be part of the solution, not become part of any problem.
3. Never make any major choice or decision when trapped in emotion.

Questions to churn:
1. Do you remain practical in emotional situations?… If not, why not?
2. What practical tools do you have in your toolbag-of-life, to use in emotional situations?
Do you make choices / decisions with clarity or are they based on emotion?… i.e. making a decision based on anger/fear.
3. Many people don’t see this as a Power, so keep it in your mind that words are cheap – they don’t mean a whole lot if you don’t have the continual practical demonstration to back it up.

In the world today, emotions are running hot and people are tired of being ‘talked at’, they want to know if what you say is what you do! Otherwise they will go else where for love, support and friendship..

Have a great week and happy Practicing EveryOne,
Lots of Love Annemarie x
